Barbara Lupton    07/24/08  Living in Brevard for the past 30 years I have driven thru Palm Shores many times. I recently had the chance to meet Mayor MCormick at a Rotary meeting and comment on some of the wonderful changes. The median plantings are beautiful and can be viewed while driving at a safe speed. The Mayor and residents of this small town set a fine example and it is obvious they really do "Care".

Ellen Biswanger Audelo    04/19/07  I grew up in Palm Shores (1953) in that eyesore motel that was torn down. When I was a child - it was a beautiful motel called Tropic Villas that my parents owned. We had the office and our home in the front and 6 units in the back - 3 on either side. When my mother had cancer - we took her up North, and she died up there - and when we came back (that's when the passenger train stopped in Melbourne)- the state of Florida had cut our motel in half to widen US#1 from 2 to 4 lanes. That's why the place became an eyesore. My father lost his business, his wife, and his home at Christmas in 1956. He was never the same after that. There was a beautiful restaurant across the street called Pierre's. The original owner was really Pierre - from France - and his wife's name was Helen. The adult book store was Christine's restaurant - owned by the Likers. Judy Liker married George Lopez - and both were teachers at Eau Gallie High. Judy passed away recently. The building shaped like a quonset hut was built by my adopted Uncle - Pete Goolsby - a native of Jacksonville and the second most decorated WW IIwar hero after Audey Murphy. Near the vet - where the chapel of Divine Light is now - was the business school I graduated from in 1963 - Aladdin Business College. If you go North - near Allen Hill Road - that little bldg there was Curlee's grocery - and the Curlee's and Leib's lived there. The place where the dinosaur skeleton is now - was doc Albritton's. He was the only vet. If you want a picture of Tropic Villas - that later became Xanadu - I can drop it off or email it. I can tell you some of the names of the folks who lived there too. People used to stop at our motel every time they came to Florida. My parents ran it like an inn. They made breakfast for folks - and my dad would play his fiddle and guitar. Sometimes people had no money - and my parents would let them stay for free. Many people went to Miami to be in shows - and they would put on shows for us in payment for the room - dog shows - ventriliquist shows, music, etc. One family left their pony with us for awhile - and another left their daughter with us all summer! We had a great life until the state of Florida destroyed our home. Respectfully, Ellen Audelo

David Bennett    07/01/06  On a business trip to your slice of Florida Charm I can see why my father likes this little town. As I went through your website on my drive back to the office(sitting in the passenger seat with wirless internet-Yes for modern technology), it is nice to see that there is a "Feel of community" here beyond its pyhsical chram. Great website!

Peter Maximilian HM    06/21/06  I am hoping to join your community soon!!!

Beth & Thomas Westberry    04/17/06  My husband and I travel through Plam Shores twice a year to visit friends and family. Several years ago we noticed it had a few "eye sores" such as an old run down motel and a ugly adult video store to name few. Over Easter weekend we traveled through a completely different town. It was wonderful to see the flags along the river that felt like a welcome mat to this area. The old motel had been torn down and your adult video store was also gone. This is a town the residents of Palm Shores can be proud. What a great place to live.

Sara Hurtt    04/16/06  I am the granddaughter of the late Paul Hurtt, former mayor of the the Town of Palm Shores. From what I can tell, the town that my grandfather loved has come a long way since his passing. I know that he would be very pleased with the progress the town has made. Keep up the great work!

Audrey    10/11/05  Perused your web site this evening, and it made me want to move to Palm Shores. I live in CT, but know a number of people who have moved to Florida from here. I was wondering if there are any realtors based in your town, as well as any attorneys with offices there. I like the spirit of the town, from what I see from the web site. After 20 years of living in small towns in Alaska, I am happy to see that there are still small towns in Florida with a mottoe such as "The Little Town That Cares". What a great motto!

Ken Lesk    12/18/04  Dear Palm Shores, I was passing through and got a little lost. I ran into your Hurricane Clean-up coordinator, Paul Lijeski - what a great guy! He was friendly, gracious, and helpful. He gave me directions and told me all about the area. If he is typical of the people who run and work for the town, I'm going to move there when I retire.

LOIS SICILIA    11/24/04  CHECKING YOU OUT FROM MY DESK AT WASTE MANAGEMENT. YOU HAVE A GREAT TEAM AT THE CITY. GLAD TO BE WORKING WITH YOU.

andrea and greg perlin    12/15/03  Hi, Visiting from New Jersey, we just spent the weekend from 12/10 through 12/14/03 looking at land sites in brevard county. We searched from Tittusville down through Sebastian. We wanted to tell you that your community is beautiful. In all of the available properties in Brevard County, your residents of Palm Circle were the only ones to come out to great us. A healthy, happy holiday season to you and yours. Andrea and Greg
