Ladies and Gentlemen:
You may or may not be familiar with the process that County departments have gone through with regard to FEMA, Hurricane Matthew, and Project Worksheets. If your department experienced damages, collected debris, began repairs, and/or submitted timesheets for employee preparation, response or recovery activities, you have had staff working with the Budget Office to provide the necessary documentation.
Following Hurricane Irma’s impact on the county, we have been informed that FEMA is implementing an entirely new process through which we will request reimbursement. In order to ensure that Brevard County puts forth the best possible effort to properly obtain the federal and state funds to which we are entitled, it is important that each of you – as well as your staff members who will be involved in the process – participate in both the Applicant Briefing and the New PA Model briefing. Both of these briefings are webinars that will be held on Monday, October 2. You may view these in your offices, or at the Emergency Operations Center.
